Our Story & Space

This space called to me. I believe the world is a dream and we are the writers and directors of our life stories. I had originally planned to make the space my real estate office, but it was so magical that I knew I needed to share it with the community I love so dearly.

The Drömhus, which means "dream house" in Swedish, is truly an astral space. Built in the late 1800's, 611 Jefferson Street was a former chapel that I had converted into an eclectic wine bar and eatery. Here, we welcome the dreamer, the charmer, and visionary alike and offer an exquisite coupling of both flavorful comfort food and laid back camaraderie.

Now that my son Tristan is off to college, I have time to grow this space into a place where people can come and connect with each other, in person.  Buckminster Fuller once said, "to change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete," and that is my goal.

I haven't liked what social media has done to society and I truly believe that when we are in the same room with each other, conversations are...different. There is an energy we share. This energy strengthens us and we need to get strong again, now more than ever.

Come in and say hallå sometime, converse, relax and enjoy what people are calling Sturgeon Bay's "living room."
