Hallå!

My name is Heather and I am happy to be back "home" in Sturgeon Bay!  I'm a 4th generation Door County "enthusiast" and I can't wait to meet you!

My family built cottages near Idlewild in the 1940's where my great grandparents, Eva and Anders Hammarström, raised three boys.

In the 1980's & 90's, my family lived on Bayshore Drive in Egg Harbor where I spent summers going to the haunted house, hanging at the drive-in, and working at Al's, The Landmark, Village Cafe, or The Summertime (now Barringers). I grew up in the Door County service industry, basically.  Like so many of us, I went away to have some adventures and now I'm back and couldn't be more grateful to finally be home

I guess you might be wondering ....

  1. How the heck do you say Drömhus? (Pronounced - Drum hoose)

  2. Why that name?

I believe the world is a dream and we are the writers and directors of our life stories.

This space called to me.

Originally, I had planned to make it my real estate office but it's so magical I decided I needed to share it with the community I love so dearly. For about a year, it's been an event space and my office. Now that my son Tristan is off to college, I have time to create a space where people can come and connect with each other, in person.

Buckminster Fuller said,  'To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.”  I haven't liked what social media has done to our society. I truly believe that when we are in the same room with each other, conversations are.....different.  There is an energy we share.

This energy strengthens us and we need to get strong again, now more than ever so I created a cozy place for people to connect.

I also love entertaining and feeding people good food!

Thanks so much for reading all that. Come in and say hallå some time.

Skål,  Heather
